Bayern Munich eye January move for Liverpool youngster Rio Ngumoha
Bayern Munich are reportedly tracking Liverpool's 18-year-old talent Rio Ngumoha as they look to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window.
Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing to renew their interest in Liverpool teenager Rio Ngumoha when the transfer window opens in January. The 18-year-old has become an integral part of the Reds' setup this season, featuring in 13 matches across all competitions and starting all four of their Champions League fixtures.
Despite previous attempts to secure the forward being rejected by Liverpool, German reports suggest Bayern are still searching for a young attacker to provide cover for Luis Diaz. The Bundesliga side is also monitoring other prospects, including Oskar Pietuszewski, Eli Junior Kroupi, and Wael Mohya.
Praise for the rising star
"I'm happy with his attitude because he's eager to improve the things that we think he needs to improve."
Andoni Iraola
"That's the good thing with Rio, he's still 18, he's not the full package."
Andoni Iraola
Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola has spoken highly of Ngumoha’s development and work ethic, noting his increasing comfort on the pitch. While the club faces scrutiny over their squad balance and spending, Ngumoha’s emergence alongside Trey Nyoni has been a rare bright spot for the Anfield side, even as they navigate recent league and European setbacks.
