Thomas Tuchel excludes Cole Palmer as England squad is announced

Thomas Tuchel has omitted Cole Palmer from his latest England squad, emphasizing the importance of players attending training camps.
England manager Thomas Tuchel has unveiled his squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain, with the notable absence of Chelsea forward Cole Palmer. Despite Chelsea confirming the player's fitness, Tuchel opted to exclude him, choosing to reward those who participated in the previous international camp.
A focus on commitment
The German coach explained that consistent attendance is vital for his selection process. Having previously noted that Palmer has missed several opportunities to impress, Tuchel suggested that the current group has built a strong foundation that he is not looking to disrupt.
"It's not personal and of course we will never assume that Cole is not in the mindset to come and desperate to play for his country, but the competition is on."

Elsewhere in the squad, there is a first senior call-up for Jobe Bellingham following his impressive form at Borussia Dortmund. The list also sees the return of Ben White and Djed Spence, while Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly is included but will serve a suspension for the opening match against Croatia.
"The players who were in camp built something extraordinary throughout these two-and-a-half weeks and that's why the credit goes to them, the trust is for them."
