A decisive second half
The contest remained tight until the latter stages, despite several PSG players being recognized among the Ballon d'Or nominees. Lyon, managed by Fonseca, proved to be a difficult opponent, with goalkeeper Greif making crucial saves to frustrate the home side. Safonov was also forced into a vital stop to keep the scores level after a dangerous run by Duranvilla.
The breakthrough finally arrived when substitute Senny Mayulu found the net with a powerful strike from the edge of the box. Late in the game, Mika Godts secured the win with a spectacular effort, marking his first goal for the club and confirming PSG's rise to the summit of the league table.
The result marks a significant turnaround for the Paris outfit, who have overcome a shaky start to the season to establish themselves as the team to beat in France.
