Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage has admitted his position is under threat following a humiliating 5-0 defeat to rivals Brighton. The heavy loss, which saw the Eagles concede three times in the opening nine minutes, leaves the club sitting 14th in the Premier League table just seven games into the new campaign.
A difficult start at Selhurst Park
"It's my fault because I am the coach, I gave the motivation. I prepare the situations."
Pierre Sage
"Only one feeling - shame. When you play this kind of game you have to show another face."
Pierre Sage
Sage, who arrived in the summer following the departure of Oliver Glasner, has struggled to replicate the success of his predecessor. With 17 goals conceded, Palace currently holds the worst defensive record in the top flight. While the manager remains committed to turning the situation around, he openly admitted he does not know if he will be granted the time to do so.
