Johnstone Burgh forced into impossible schedule clash

Scottish fifth-tier side Johnstone Burgh must play two separate cup matches on the same day with only 30 minutes between kick-offs.
Scottish fifth-tier club Johnstone Burgh has been placed in an unprecedented position, forced to field teams for two distinct cup competitions on the same day. Due to a severe scheduling conflict, the side is required to play away at Tayport in the Scottish Communities Cup at 14:30 GMT, followed by a match against Dunipace 65 miles away in the Lowland League Cup at 15:00 GMT on November 21.
Exhausting every option
Despite the club's extensive efforts to rearrange fixtures, including proposals to play on Friday nights, Sundays, or midweek, their opponents remained committed to traditional Saturday afternoon slots. The club even offered to forfeit gate receipts to facilitate a change, but no agreement could be reached.
"We are extremely disappointed that, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to find a reasonable solution."

The club, which won the Scottish Communities Cup two seasons ago, expressed frustration over the inability to compete with their strongest squad in both fixtures. They confirmed that every possible avenue had been explored to resolve the overlap, but they ultimately had to accept the conflicting schedule.
