JJ Gabriel breaks silence on Real Madrid move and Ballon d'Or ambitions

Sixteen-year-old JJ Gabriel has opened up about his expected transfer to Real Madrid and his long-term career goals.
Sixteen-year-old forward JJ Gabriel has finally addressed his future after leaving Manchester United two months ago. The teenager, who has been training independently in Spain, is closing in on a move to Real Madrid, though no official agreement has been signed between the two clubs yet.
Ambitions in Madrid
Despite remaining registered with United, Gabriel has secured a verbal agreement with the Spanish giants. He is expected to join Castilla, the club's reserve side, following a path previously taken by stars like Vinícius and Casemiro. While in Spain, his new representative, Ali Barat, is currently finalizing housing arrangements for the player and his family.
"My dream is to win a Ballon d’Or."

When asked about his preference between the Spanish rivals, Gabriel left little room for doubt regarding his stance.
"Real Madrid are obviously better."

The young talent, who was named the Premier League's Under-18 player of the season last term, is now focused on his future in the Spanish capital. While Manchester United would be entitled to compensation for the departure, the player's possession of a Cypriot passport has complicated the domestic registration hurdles.
