Falkirk Stun Champions Celtic in Historic Premiership Victory

Falkirk secured their first win against Celtic since 2007, dealing a major blow to the champions' lead in the Scottish Premiership title race.
Falkirk achieved a landmark 2-0 victory over Celtic, marking their first triumph against the champions since 2007. The result prevented Martin O'Neill's side from extending their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership, leaving them four points ahead of Rangers having played an extra match.
The Bairns took an early lead just three minutes into the contest. A cross from Ryan Strain was inadvertently turned into the path of Ethan Ross by Cameron Carter-Vickers, allowing Ross to slot home the opener. Scott Tanser doubled the advantage before the half-time whistle to put the hosts in command.
A Resilient Defensive Display
Celtic struggled to find a way back into the game as Falkirk extended their winning streak to four matches. Former Celtic goalkeeper Scott Bain proved instrumental for the hosts, pulling off crucial saves to deny both Camilo Duran and Hasseim Hassan.
Despite Celtic's efforts to respond following a midweek draw with Dundee United, they were ultimately outclassed. Jacob Murrell thought he had added a third for Falkirk, but his effort was disallowed due to a handball. The win sees Falkirk climb to fourth place in the league standings.
