Manchester City Legend David Silva Comes Out of Retirement to Join Sha Tin

Former Manchester City star David Silva has returned to professional football at 40, signing a short-term contract with Hong Kong Premier League side Sha Tin.

In a surprising turn of events, former Manchester City and Spain midfielder David Silva has announced his return to professional football. The 40-year-old, who retired in 2023 following a severe knee injury at Real Sociedad, has signed a short-term deal with Hong Kong Premier League club Supreme Sha Tin.

The club, which recently appointed English manager Tom Ballantyne, is looking to bolster its squad after a challenging start to the season. Sha Tin currently sits in eighth place and hopes that the arrival of the World Cup winner will provide a significant boost.
