Arsenal target Liverpool-linked wonderkid as triple contract renewal nears

Arsenal are reportedly bidding for Gilberto Mora while finalising new deals for Declan Rice, Martin Odegaard, and Jurrien Timber.
Arsenal are actively working to bolster their squad as the January transfer window approaches. Despite a competitive start to the Premier League season, the club is looking to secure new talent while simultaneously locking down key members of their current roster to long-term agreements.
The Gunners have reportedly launched an opening bid for Mexican attacking midfielder Gilberto Mora. The 17-year-old, currently playing for Club Tijuana, has attracted significant interest from Liverpool, as well as European giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. With his 18th birthday arriving this week, Arsenal are positioning themselves to sign the teenager, who boasts a release clause of approximately £21.2 million.
Triple contract extensions
Beyond recruitment, the north London club is nearing the completion of three major contract renewals. Following the recent extension of manager Mikel Arteta’s tenure until 2030, the hierarchy is now focused on securing the futures of Declan Rice, captain Martin Odegaard, and defender Jurrien Timber.
Internal discussions regarding these players have been ongoing for some time. Reports suggest that Rice is set for a significant wage increase, while the club is confident that the final details for both Odegaard and Timber will be resolved before the turn of the year, likely during the November international break.
