Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos Finalize Inter de Limeira Takeover

Football icons Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos have officially acquired an 80% stake in Brazilian club Inter de Limeira.
Brazilian football legends Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos have officially completed their acquisition of an 80% stake in Inter de Limeira. The deal, which transforms the modest club into a Sociedad Anónima de Fútbol (SAF), was finalized this Monday following a successful assembly vote by club members in August.
The investment group, led by businessman Enrico Ambrogini, also includes the Saudi prince Abdullah bin Saad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and an unnamed African partner. The group has committed to a long-term strategy aimed at restructuring the club and clearing existing debts, with the ultimate goal of securing a return to Brazil's top-flight Serie A.
A ambitious path forward
"It is a gigantic project, very different to everything that has been done in Brazil."
Enrico Ambrogini
Financial plans suggest a potential investment of up to 76 million euros over the next decade, depending on the club's performance and milestone achievements. The immediate focus for 2026 and 2027 involves a 3.3 million euro injection to stabilize operations.
"Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and all involved in the project are very enthusiastic."
Enrico Ambrogini
Danilo Mauf, the current president of Inter de Limeira, expressed optimism about the club's future as they prepare to compete in the Serie B next season. While the challenge remains significant, the new ownership group is committed to implementing professional management to elevate the club's status.
