Richarlison relegated to Tottenham U21s amid goal crisis

After being left out of the Premier League squad, Richarlison is now featuring for Tottenham's Under-21s following failed summer transfer moves.
Tottenham striker Richarlison has been forced to find competitive minutes with the club's Under-21 side after being omitted from the senior Premier League squad. The 29-year-old Brazilian international, who previously served as the team's leading scorer, found himself playing in the EFL Trophy against Cheltenham Town this week.
A strained relationship at Spurs
During the summer transfer window, Richarlison saw potential moves to Everton and Vasco da Gama collapse. Manager Roberto de Zerbi noted the forward had expressed a clear desire to leave the club before the season began, leading to his exclusion from the 25-man league registration.
"He decided everything alone. He spoke with me at the beginning of the pre-season and told me his idea and desire was to leave."

The situation remains contentious as Tottenham struggles with a significant goal drought, currently sitting near the bottom of the table. While the club has invested heavily in new talent, the decision to sideline a player with 27 top-flight goals for the club continues to draw scrutiny as the team searches for attacking solutions.
