Zinedine Zidane hands Pablo Pagis maiden France call-up

Paris FC attacker Pablo Pagis has been called up to the France squad for the first time by head coach Zinedine Zidane.
Paris FC forward Pablo Pagis has received his first-ever call-up to the France national team. Head coach Zinedine Zidane selected the 23-year-old for the upcoming Nations League encounters against Italy and Turkiye.
Pagis earned the promotion following a string of impressive displays under the management of Liam Rosenior. The attacker has contributed one goal and two assists this season, including a strike in last Sunday's 3-1 victory over Monaco.
Squad updates and injury concerns
The squad selection sees the return of several key figures, including Marcus Thuram, Malo Gusto, Ibrahima Konate, and Aurelien Tchouameni. These players rejoin the setup as France looks to secure their spot in the Nations League quarter-finals.
However, Zidane faces a depleted roster due to various injuries. Notable absentees include Jules Kounde, Ousmane Dembele, William Saliba, Maxence Lacroix, Esteban Lepaul, and Maghnes Akliouche, the latter of whom was forced out following an injury in Paris Saint-Germain's recent win over Villarreal.
