Napoli midfielder Stanislav Lobotka ruled out for six weeks

Napoli have confirmed that midfielder Stanislav Lobotka will be sidelined for up to six weeks following an ankle injury sustained against Monza.
Napoli have officially confirmed that Stanislav Lobotka is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a significant ankle injury. The Slovakian international was forced off just 15 minutes into the recent match against Monza following a challenge with Ricardo Mangas, which left him unable to leave the pitch without assistance.
Medical examinations conducted at Pineta Grande Hospital revealed damage to the tibiofibular syndesmosis ligament alongside a low-grade injury to the posterior tibiofibular ligament in his left ankle. Fortunately, the tests confirmed there is no joint instability.
Recovery and impact on Napoli
The club has announced that the midfielder has already commenced a rehabilitation program. While the recovery timeline is estimated at up to six weeks, the injury will certainly rule him out of the upcoming high-profile clash against Juventus this Sunday.
"Stanislav Lobotka underwent diagnostic imaging today at Pineta Grande Hospital, which revealed damage to the tibiofibular syndesmosis ligament with no joint instability, accompanied by a low-grade injury to the posterior tibiofibular ligament in his left ankle."

With Lobotka expected to miss up to nine matches, the coaching staff will need to reorganize their midfield setup. It is anticipated that players like Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Scott McTominay will take on increased responsibilities in the heart of the pitch during his absence.
