AC Milan forced to share points in stalemate with Sassuolo

AC Milan extended their unbeaten streak to six games but were held to a 1-1 draw away at Sassuolo in a tense Serie A encounter.
AC Milan maintained their unbeaten start to the Serie A season, though Ruben Amorim’s side had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw against Sassuolo at the MAPEI Stadium. Despite controlling large portions of the match, the visitors were unable to secure a victory, marking their third draw in the last four league outings.
A Tense Tactical Battle
The match began as a slow-burning affair with neither side finding a breakthrough until the second half. The introduction of Luka Modric at halftime proved pivotal, as the midfielder orchestrated a fluid attacking move that allowed Adrien Rabiot to fire a precise strike into the net from a tight angle in the 63rd minute.
However, the lead was short-lived. Just five minutes later, Cas Odenthal equalized for the hosts, capitalizing on a scramble inside the box following a corner kick. Sassuolo nearly snatched a late winner in the 88th minute, but the goal was disallowed after a foul was called during the buildup.
The result leaves Milan with 12 points from their opening six games. While they remain in the mix at the top of the table, the team will be looking to convert these recent draws into wins as the campaign progresses.
