Liverpool honors Diogo Jota with new biography 'Forever in our Hearts'

Liverpool FC has published a new biography celebrating the life and legacy of the late Diogo Jota, with proceeds supporting a new grassroots programme.
Liverpool FC has officially released a new biography titled 'Forever in our Hearts', which serves as a heartfelt tribute to the life, career, and legacy of the late Diogo Jota. Authored by José Delgado, the book features contributions from over 90 people, including family, friends, teammates, and former manager Jürgen Klopp, to paint a personal portrait of the forward.
The biography covers Jota's journey from his early days in Portugal to his successes at Anfield and with the national team. It also addresses the tragic events of July 2025, when Jota and his brother, André Silva, were killed in a car accident in Spain. Every purchase of the book contributes to the LFC Foundation, funding a grassroots football initiative established in Jota's name.
A legacy remembered
"I’ve spent most of my life talking, but now I’m just hanging by a thread, lost for words."
Jürgen Klopp
The book includes emotional reflections from his widow, Rute Cardoso, who recounts the final moments before the accident. Through these intimate stories, the publication aims to preserve the memory of a player remembered for his humility, talent, and deep bond with his brother. A permanent memorial remains located outside Anfield for supporters to pay their respects.
