Las Palmas Sacks Manager De la Barrera After Winless Start

UD Las Palmas has officially announced the departure of head coach De la Barrera. The decision comes after a difficult start to the campaign, leaving the club's leadership no choice but to make a change in the dugout after just nine official matches in charge.

A temporary solution

The club has confirmed that the current manager of the reserve team, Juan Manuel Rodríguez, will step in to lead the squad immediately. His appointment is described as a transitional measure while the board evaluates long-term options for the coaching position.

The island club is currently looking to stabilize its performance following the poor run of form that ultimately cost De la Barrera his job. Fans will be watching closely to see if the internal promotion of Rodríguez can spark a turnaround in the coming weeks.
