Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa fined by FA for refereeing outburst

The English Football Association has fined Fulham coach Alvaro Arbeloa following his controversial post-match comments regarding officiating.
Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa has been issued a fine of $33,163 and a formal warning by the English Football Association (FA) following his conduct after a September fixture. The sanction stems from comments made by the Spaniard after his team’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United on September 20 at Craven Cottage.
Questioning integrity
During his post-match interview, the 43-year-old manager suggested that match officials were biased in favor of the visitors. Arbeloa specifically referenced a previous match between Manchester United and Manchester City, implying that certain teams receive preferential treatment.
"I knew after the game against Manchester City that they don’t let Manchester United lose here."

The FA stated that the head coach acted in an improper manner by questioning the integrity of match officials. Arbeloa has since admitted to the charge. The manager, who took over at the London club in July, is currently navigating a difficult start to the season with Fulham sitting at the bottom of the Premier League table.
