Forest Green Rovers initiate £2m legal action over manager approach

Forest Green owner Dale Vince is suing Peterborough United and Robbie Savage over an alleged illegal approach for the manager.
Forest Green Rovers owner Dale Vince has confirmed the club is pursuing a £2m lawsuit against Peterborough United and former manager Robbie Savage. The legal action follows Savage’s departure from the National League club earlier this month to take charge at the League One side.
Vince alleges that Peterborough failed to follow proper procedures, claiming the club bypassed official channels to approach the 51-year-old directly. The Forest Green chairman maintains that this action deprived his club of the buyout clause stipulated in the manager's contract.

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has previously denied any wrongdoing, insisting that the appointment process was entirely correct and followed all necessary regulations. Peterborough United has declined to comment on the ongoing legal proceedings, while the club continues its season under Savage's leadership.
