Barcelona dealt double injury blow to defensive unit

Barcelona have announced a double setback for their defensive ranks as both Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde have been sidelined with injuries. The club confirmed the news following medical evaluations, leaving the coaching staff with limited options for the immediate future.

Defensive concerns for upcoming fixtures

Eric Garcia is facing a significant layoff after sustaining a rectus femoris muscle injury in his right thigh. The club reports that he will be unavailable for selection for the next three to four weeks as he undergoes his recovery program.

Meanwhile, Jules Kounde has picked up a sprain to his left ankle. This issue will keep him out of the upcoming encounter against Paris Saint-Germain. Whether he can return in time for Sunday’s high-profile El Clásico against Real Madrid remains uncertain and will depend on his rehabilitation progress over the coming days.
