Barcelona monitoring Cesc Fàbregas as potential Hansi Flick successor

Barcelona is reportedly evaluating potential future coaching candidates, with former midfielder Cesc Fàbregas emerging as a key figure of interest. While current manager Hansi Flick has indicated his intention to finish his coaching career at the club, the board is proactively tracking the progress of former players who understand the club's philosophy.

Fàbregas has impressed during his tenure at Italian side Como, securing Champions League qualification by implementing a possession-based style that mirrors the values of La Masia. His work has caught the attention of Barcelona’s sporting management, who view him as a natural fit for the future.

A perfect DNA fit

"Honestly, I never imagined he would reach this point. He was my teammate back then, and I never thought he'd get to where he is today."

Cristian Tello

"Yes, of course, I can see that. He has that feeling, that Barça DNA, and he knows very well what it means to play at the highest level."

Cristian Tello

Former teammate Cristian Tello expressed his support for the prospect, noting that Fàbregas possesses the intelligence and tactical understanding required for such a high-profile role. Beyond Fàbregas, the club is also observing other internal developments, such as Sergio Busquets, who is currently gaining coaching experience with Barça B alongside Belletti.

While there is no immediate timeline for a managerial change, the club remains committed to monitoring individuals who are deeply familiar with the Barcelona system to ensure stability when Flick eventually steps down.
