Barcelona Match Best-Ever Start With Convincing Win Over Getafe
Barcelona secured their eighth consecutive victory to open the La Liga season, comfortably defeating Getafe 3-0.
Barcelona continued their flawless run in La Liga, equalling their best-ever start to a league campaign by securing an eighth straight victory. The Catalan side proved too strong for Getafe, cruising to a 3-0 win in a dominant performance at home.
The scoring was opened by Anthony Gordon, who was joined on the scoresheet by Gabriel Jesus. Jules Koundé added the third goal of the match, sealing the result after a VAR review confirmed his close-range effort.
A historic run for the Blaugrana
Despite the absence of top scorer Raphinha, the team's depth was on full display as both Gordon and Koundé netted their first goals of the season. Gabriel Jesus, meanwhile, maintained his consistent form by adding another goal to his personal tally.
The victory keeps Barcelona at the top of the table as they look to maintain this momentum throughout the season. With eight wins from eight matches, the club is currently matching the highest standard set in its long and storied history.
