Ruben Amorim laments 'no game' after Milan's heavy defeat at Bournemouth

AC Milan manager Ruben Amorim reflects on a disastrous 3-0 loss to Bournemouth, marked by an early red card for goalkeeper Mike Maignan.
Ruben Amorim's return to English soil proved to be a difficult experience as his AC Milan side suffered a 3-0 defeat against Bournemouth in the Europa League. The match was effectively decided in the first half, leaving the Italian giants struggling at the Vitality Stadium.
The visitors fell behind early when Koni De Winter conceded a penalty, converted by Justin Kluivert. Matters worsened significantly in the 27th minute when goalkeeper Mike Maignan was sent off for an altercation with Tyler Adams. Marcus Tavernier subsequently scored from the resulting spot-kick, and Amine Adli added a third late in the game.
A night to forget
"The penalty on the corner and the red card changed everything, so it was not a game. It was not a game."
Ruben Amorim
Amorim admitted that the early setbacks made it impossible for his team to compete effectively. While he acknowledged the need for better discipline, he noted that the squad must now focus on recovery.
"That is true, we cannot do that. We need to keep 11 players on the pitch, there are more experienced players, but now we need to recover and get ready for the next game."

The result leaves Milan in a challenging position in the competition standings. Despite the frustration of the evening, Amorim emphasized the importance of learning from the experience as he continues his tenure at the San Siro.
