Al-Hilal Seize League Lead After Thrilling Win Over Al-Qadsiah

Al-Hilal climbed to the summit of the Saudi Pro League table on Friday after overcoming Al-Qadsiah in a high-stakes encounter. The 3-2 result allowed the visitors to leapfrog their opponents and claim the first-place spot in the standings.

Martinelli opened the scoring early, but Al-Qadsiah responded through Julián Quiñones to level the match. The game remained tense until Ruben Neves restored the lead with a long-range strike, followed by a clinical side-foot finish from Milinkovic-Savic. Although Mateo Retegui pulled one back late for the hosts, Al-Hilal held on for the win.

Tactical success for Inzaghi

"We secured an important victory against a strong and resilient opponent with many quality players. Al-Qadisiyah played well, and I'm delighted with this win."

Simone Inzaghi

Head coach Simone Inzaghi praised his squad's ability to control the game despite facing a physically demanding challenge. While the team showed signs of fatigue, they managed to secure the crucial three points before shifting their focus to an upcoming AFC Champions League Elite fixture against Al-Shamal in Doha.
